- You are in a marriage or civil partnership recognized in the UK.
- You have been living together in a relationship for at least 2 years before applying.

If you are not living together, you’ll need to provide evidence of an ongoing relationship, such as:
- Regular communication between you.
- Financial support for each other.

- Time spent together as a couple, such as on holidays or at events.

Your child must meet the following criteria:
- They must live with you unless they are living away for full-time education (e.g., at a boarding school or university).
