The UK Tier 1 Entrepreneur visa category was for foreign business owners who wished to come to the UK to start a new business or participate in an existing business and invest funds in those businesses.
The UK Entrepreneur visa holders could not seek paid employment in the UK other than working for one or more companies that they had either established, joined, or acquired.

Under the UK Entrepreneur visa:

• The UK Entrepreneur visa applicant’s partner and children (under 18 years) would be able to join the main applicant in the UK.
• The UK Entrepreneur visa was granted for a period of 3 years and 4 months.
  This visa could be extended for extra 2 years, provided all the eligibility criteria were met.
• The UK Entrepreneur visa provided a pathway to settlement in the UK and British citizenship for the main applicant and his/her family members as well.
• This visa gave the applicants access to a superior quality of healthcare, education, and security.
